Heading into the postseason, what's your take?
Duke is a serious Final Four contender
We just may have kept the Duke Foot Injury from ending our season for the third straight year
Miami is really backing into the tournament phase
So much for those little Tools and their VAUNTED twelve-guard lineup, at least until next Saturday
Still not going to miss Maryland, College Park at all
Just enjoying the ride
I have some gripe or other but will hold it for now

Duke Basketball

North Carolina-Greensboro @ Duke, Cameron Indoor Stadium, Durham, North Carolina.  December 19, 2011, 7 P.M. Eastern Standard Time.

I'll be DVRing this one.  Regional sports coverage only.  Here's a nice example of a game that can be eliminated to accommodate the expanded (!!!) ACC schedule for next season and beyond.

Please discuss, during or after.

Serious G: did I know that you were from up here and simply forget that piece of info??? It wasn't on in my neck either. "People's Republic" indeed.

Thanks everyone for the recapping - very helpful.

Happy to see the Twinks are below us in at least one poll. Not sure what to make of our #5 but I am definitely on board with the Tar Holes moving to the bottom half of the top ten (and beyond).

The first half wasn't played well until maybe the last 5 minutes. Quinn showed up in second half big time. Honestly, I forget to look at this D. So, I'm not sure how he did. Those clamouring for him to start may see it. I'm curious as well but I'd like to see how he does against stronger competition. Mason played consistent, Austin was fine. Andre knows his role (as someone else quoted). Seth still seems off. Tyler may be great on defense but he's isn't a real scoring threat so I can see where people are wanting Quinn to start. This was one of those games when Duke had a 20 point lead and you didn't even realize it. Can't believe Wes Miller is already coaching. Geez. Have a nice Christmas guys.

The Quinn Cook show indeed. How was he on D?

Hopefully, you only destroyed the part of the hard drive that contained the first half. The second half should be watching the Quinnining.

Sorry, curiosities: Kelly fumbling the ball at least thrice under the basket; a charge by Hairston on a semi-fast break.

Miles with the usual bumbling hands early on, but they've gotten surer as the game progressed. Other curiosities: and QUINN COOK!

Great missed-3 tip-in for 'G' and one exhilarating defensive bit that I've forgotten the specifics but remember the emotion.

Brothers Plum seem to be hitting the boards hard.

Thanks for the sordid details Fats. I have 'scrappy white guy' on my business card.

Serious G is intrigued by Silent G

And suddenly it's Quinn Cook's world...

Also of note: bounce passes in the lane to cutters who didn't cut; UNCG scrappy white guy off the bench grabbing steals; UNCG scrappy black guy off the bench grabbing steals.

Things you probably saw in your mind's eye when you saw the score: FT Mason-ry; clumsy, short-armed lay-ups; drives into the lane with nowhere to go.

Things you probably didn't expect: three unchallenged fast-break dunks for UNCG; three UNCG dunks in traffic; three scoop reverses.

The game is not being televised in my area in the People's Republic of Canada, but judging by the boxscore I'll take Fats' word that this would be painful to watch.

Destroy your hard drive on your DVR. YOU DO NOT WANT TO WATCH THIS.
